The stage is set for another exhilarating year in the nation’s capital as the Port Moresby Elite Basketball (PEB) competition prepares to launch its 2025 season on Sunday, April 6th, at the Sir John Guise Stadium Indoor Complex.
The PEB’s preseason concluded last Thursday (March 27th) following three exciting and entertaining rounds of matches at the Indoor Complex.
Last season’s teams in the women’s division have remained unchanged, while the men’s division have welcomed two new entrants, increasing the pace and level of the competition this year.
Some stringent measures have been introduced by the PEB executives this season to tighten the loopholes in ensuring that the elite competition lives up to its expectations and delivering a successful season.
PEB Director Lawrence Lahari expects another tough and competitive season, welcoming the pioneering teams of 2024 and the newcomers this year, while extending his appreciation to the major sponsor, ExxonMobil PNG, including other minor sponsors.
Straight after the official launch, four men’s fixtures will be staged to tip off round one of the 2025 PEB season, with the women’s matches to be played at a later date.
Below are the four men’s fixtures on Sunday (April 6th) at the Sir John Guise Stadium Indoor Complex:
3K North-West Wizards Vs Togoba Coffee - 12:30PM
Triple B Vs ACL Kings - 2PM
Tribes Coffee Vs Moni Plus Tamaraws - 4PM
CivPac Amesii Vs Ultimax - 6PM
