Netball Papua New Guinea has officially announced its 15-member squad (PNG Pepes) for the 2025 Pacific-Australia Sports Netball Series in Australia.
PNG will be among five other countries consisting of the hosting team First Nation Australia (FNA), Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, and Scotland.
The Series now in its fifth year is expected to be held at Brisbane’s Nissan Arena between Feb 17-22 2025.
The team led by new coach Lua Rikis will see both existing elite and debutant netball players ready for action in the next two weeks.
Pepes 15-member squad consists of Shooters; Michaela Kadlecek, Kala Ali, Ravu Noka, Kailani Brazier, Wynona Lancan, Mid-courters; Chloe Litherland, Yves Chee, Milly Chee, Sarah Harris, Alice Vagi, Defenders; Serena Ovia, Tina Poha, Shannaz Apelis, Bronte Grose, Wavuri Lau.
They will be accompanied by coach Rikis, assistant coach Helen Edwards, Eileen Simets (Team Manageress), and Maria Yaki (Physio).
Meanwhile, the series is supported by the Australian Government through the PacificAus Sports program. It aims to provide teams with high-level competition and exposure to a diverse range of play, improving the standard of netball globally.
While successful in showcasing the skills, talents and athleticism of netballers from the Pacific, Australia, and beyond, the series also celebrates building connections through sports.
In bringing different netball nations together, the PacificAus Sports Netball Series provides athletes with a platform in which they can represent their cultures and communities with pride.

Feb 17-Round 1: Fiji v Samoa, PNG v Scotland, FNA v Tonga
Feb 18-Round 2: Fiji v Scotland, PNG v FNA, Samoa v Tonga
Feb 19-Round 3: Scotland v FNA, Samoa v PNG, Tonga v Fiji
Feb 20-Round 4: Samoa v FNA, PNG v Fiji, Tonga v Scotland
Feb 21 Round 5: Fiji v FNA, Tonga v PNG, Samoa v Scotland
Feb 22: Finals 5th v FNA, 4th v 3rd and 1st and 2nd, followed by finals presentation.
