NCDFA gears towards playoffs

Updated: Apr 29

The National Capital District Football Association (NCDFA) is gearing towards its finals after almost six weeks of running the competition. The competition started in early December of 2023 and will finish before the 2024 academic year resumes.

With 70 teams competing in various age categories (U12, U15, U17, U20, U23 and Senior Men & Women), top 4 teams will qualify for the playoffs in each division.

The teams have improved greatly in their tempo and intensity, competing aggressively and fiercely to secure a spot in the top 4 in their respective divisions.

NCDFA President, Vonnie Kapi Natto, said she was pleased with the progress of the competition, despite going through venue issues to host the games.

“We have had venue issues but I’m excited, because all our teams are cooperating to speed up the games," said Mrs. Natto.

“We are almost done with our season. We started the competition last year and we are looking forward to finishing everything on time.

“I am expecting the finals to be played in three weeks’ time to complete the season peacefully and on a positive note.”

Mrs. Natto also thanked the players, coaches, sponsors, each club management, including the fans for their participation in the competition.

“I want to say thank you to all the clubs, the sponsors and their executives for bringing their teams from every corner of the city to participate in the competition,” she said.
