Lane Lawyers retain title

The Prime Minister’s Corporate Golf Challenge Champions of 2023, Lane Lawyers, have made their presence known again in the 2024 PM’s Corporate Golf Challenge, retaining their title on Friday, May 10th, at the Royal Port Moresby Golf Club.

Prime Minister’s Golf Challenge is a major fundraiser event for Team PNG, where all the corporate organizations chip in to raise funds for Team PNG to participate at international events, including the upcoming Paris Olympics.

Led by PNG’s top golfer, Gideon Tikili, the Lane Lawyers proved too strong against other contenders, getting crowned the champions of the annual PM’s Corporate Golf Challenge for the second year in a row.

The Lane lawyers is a legal law firm that was established in 2021. Although it’s a growing firm, it has a corporate responsibility like any other organizations to support and be part of the community initiatives, driving positive messages, doing fundraisings and championing worthy causes.

Principal of Lane Lawyers and team captain, Tony Noki, was impressed with his team’s performance, expressing his delight to be part of the fundraising drive for Team PNG.

“For us, we basically support golf for the sake of cancer and this year, we are coming on board to support Team PNG,” Noki said.

“Our anchorman and PNG’s top golfer, Gideon Tikili, plays for our team so we play to support him and Team PNG, hoping that he will represent PNG again in the Paris Olympics.

“We’ve been supporting a lot of golfers here at POM Royal Club, so I think the win is obviously a bonus for us.”

Meanwhile, the Lane Lawyers look forward to defending their title in the KPHL Charity and Daffodil Golf Challenges later this year in November.
