The table toppers of the 2024 Moni Plus Capital Rugby Union (CRU) competition, the Harlequins, have triumphed over the Fincorp University Piggies with a 38-8 scoreline during their round 10 clash on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Bava Park in Port Moresby.
The Piggies matched the competition leaders in all departments during the first half, leaving the half time scores at 10-8, which was in favor of the Harlequins.
In the second stanza, the Harlies used their experience and mobile forward pack to shut down the Fincorp-sponsored outfit, scoring four unanswered tries to put the game beyond doubt with a resounding 38-8 victory.
The jesters of Bava Park have made a statement and shown their premiership credentials this season, recording nine wins and tasting only one defeat.
As the regular season progresses towards the backend of the business, the Harlequins are slowly tightening their grip and flexing their muscles to steal the title from the reigning Premiers and arch-rivals, the Kramer Ausenco Brothers.
