Netball Papua New Guinea is winding down with more technical and administration programs into the remaining three months of 2018 from October to November and into December.
Netball PNG President Julianne Leka Maliaki tells Sportstok so far for 2018 they are now winding down with more technical and administration programs. Maliakai said between December and September, Netball PNG has to roll out a lot more capacity building programs like the technical development programs to continue into October, November and December.
But Maliakai said starting next year the netball PNG high performance programs kicks in that includes preparation for the pacific games, and building from the identification of the juniors picked during the September national championships in Lae.
“Chimbu didn’t field a team but they have participated in the AGM. Madang has come back again and I have seen talent in their comeback,” she added.
Maliaki as well praised Newcrest Mining limited making 2018 its first year of backing the national championship and ensuring to look after everyone including officials and players.
She added the complementing commendation to minor sponsors, Prima and Lae Biscuit as well.
Maliaki urged netball in PNG that as long as they can go a bit further in what they do and think outside the box, then more girls and more teams will be coming to national challenges.
